A Palestinian man was shot and killed while trying to stab security personnel at a bus stop at the Tapuah junction in Samaria on Thursday morning.
Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said the 18-year-old got off a bus at the main West Bank junction and appeared suspicious to border policemen stationed there.
“The suspect did not heed their call to stop, continued to move in their direction, and at one point whipped out a knife and began running toward them. The forces opened fire at the terrorist,” Samri said. There were no injuries to the security personnel.

Police later identified the attacker as an 18-year-old resident of Kalkilya.
