The space on your iPhone has shrunk and you noticed duplicate photos saved? You're not alone: Users around the world have complained in recent days that photos from the WhatsApp chat app were being duplicated during auto-save from chats.

As you know, by default the Meta messaging app saves the photos in the photo library on all mobile devices. As mentioned recently, iPhone users started to experience a problem where the pictures sent in WhatsApp conversations were saved twice: each picture was saved twice.

It seems that the problem started after Apple published its latest update to IOS about a week ago, in which it added various innovations to the various messaging programs, including new emojis. As mentioned, many were affected by the duplication of photos that "gobbled up" space on the storage volume of Apple devices.

Meta confirmed that there is an automatic image saving error, and that they have uploaded a new update to the popular messaging app. So if your iPhone does not automatically update apps, you should update the WhatsApp application as soon as possible.

And our little tip: prefer to avoid automatically saving photos that are sent to your cell phone, this feature will only take up more free space in the storage, and may even slow down the performance of the cell phone. If you need a picture sent to you, just save it specifically. Have you also experienced glitches? Write to us in the comments.
