A new version of the compact electric crossover category is joining the BMW iX1 lineup, the new xDrive20 model will cost NIS 345,000, being the basic offering in the model's power units. It will be a cheaper alternative to the xDrive30 version as well as offering a more competitive price compared to rivals like the expensive Mercedes EQA, and also the cheaper alternatives like the entry-level versions of Audi Q4, Volvo CX40, Lexus UX, and others.

With a lower price of NIS 29,100 compared to the xDrive30 version, the xDrive20 model gives up the dual-drive of the model in favor of a single engine connected to the front wheels. The power in this version will stand at 204 hp (compared to 313 in the 30), the torque figure is 25.5 kg/m (compared to 50.3), and along with this decrease, there will also be a drop in performance, standing at 8.6 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed of 170 km/h (5.6 and 180 km/h respectively in the 30).

Despite the decrease in performance, despite using a battery of the same capacity of 66.4 kWh, the range of the xDrive20 is actually longer, standing at 454 km while the xDrive version offers 425 km. Like the stronger version, here too there is support for DC charging at speeds of up to 130 kW, where the battery can be charged fully in 45 minutes.

Like the more expensive model, here too there are two finishing levels, X Line and M Sport. In terms of equipment, the X Line in the 20 version switches to 18-inch wheels instead of 19-inch wheels, and also gives up adaptive dampers and glossy black side mirrors. Also in the M Sport finishing level, it switches to 18-inch wheels and gives up the glossy black finished mirrors but remains with adaptive dampers.

In terms of the rest of the equipment, the list includes leather upholstery, seat heating, rear air conditioning outlets, panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch multimedia display with compatibility with Apple devices, electric opening and closing of the charging compartment, and more. The advanced safety systems include automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure correction, off-road vehicle detection with correction, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, left-turn cross traffic detection alert, and BMW's parking assistant which allows the car to be driven independently backwards along the last 50 meters.

The prices of the versions are NIS 345,000 for the X Line finishing level and NIS 375,000 for the M Sport level.
