The end to reception disruptions in Judea and Samaria: the Communication Ministry will connect dozens of sites in the area outside the Green Line to cellular communication at a cost of NIS 50 million.

The budget will allow for the immediate connection of 20 sites that were selected by the Civil Administration and mapped as urgent and quick to execute. In the future, about 50 more sites will be established with the goal of reaching 95% coverage as in the rest of the country.

According to Karhi , improving cellular coverage and reception along with high-speed internet all over the country are among the main goals in the Communication Ministry' work plan. "Cellular coverage and reception help increase personal security, especially in this period, while improving the quality of life and well-being of the residents, and they are at the top of the list of priorities," he explained.

As part of the plan, sanctions orders recently came into effect and were signed by the General of the Central Command as part of the Communications KMT unit in the Civil Administration that will be able to consolidate the coverage and cellular reception in the area.

"There is no time to wait" said Karhi , "with the first pulse of 20 sites immediately and with the sanctions order coming into effect, we will be able to significantly and historically improve the reception in Judea and Samaria as we are promoting in the whole country."

The director general of the Communication Ministry, attorney Inbal Mashash said: "The lack of cellular coverage in Judea and Samaria endangers human life. The ministry is working to improve coverage and reception through various means."
