New in Israel: Ducati scooter. But who actually manufactures it?

An Italian company acquired the rights from the motorcycle manufacturer to brand their scooters with its name. The first vehicle to be imported will cost about 30% more in Israel than in Europe.

Hemilton group announced today the start of importing Ducati scooters to Israel. This is an interesting addition to the micro-mobility market, but the connection to the Italian motorcycle manufacturer owned by Volkswagen is only in name: the vehicles are manufactured by another Italian company, PLATUM, which acquired the rights to use Ducati's name. The company employs 80 workers, with the operational and logistics center located in Bologna, where the motorcycle manufacturer is also based, but the headquarters are in Milan.

Hemilton promises to bring a variety of project models, including foldable electric bicycles, but for now, they are launching a single model: CITY CROSS EX. The vehicle is made of aluminum, equipped with a 250-watt engine, a 36-volt battery, and comes with a range guarantee of 40-45 km/h, with an average speed of 15 km/h. Charging an empty battery takes 5 hours.

Additionally, the specifications include 10-inch puncture-proof tires, a dual braking system that includes a front electric brake and a rear disc brake. It also has rear and front LED lighting, a built-in LED display on the handlebars for speed display, battery status, and headlight indicators. In addition, there is an option to connect to an application via Bluetooth. The vehicle weighs 20.7 kg.

In Europe, the instrument is sold for 700 euros (NIS 2,800). In Israel, it will be sold for NIS 3,690.
