For a long time now, the prices in the electric Sedan market have only been rising. The Tesla Model 3, which was launched here just three years ago at NIS 179,000, is now starting at NIS 221,000, the BYD Seal, which was launched at the end of last year at NIS 201,000, and the XPeng P7 recently increased to NIS 210,000.
Now, another contender has been launched in the market and immediately started a price war. The ORA 07 is the older sister of the ORA 03 (formerly known as ORA Funky Cat) from the Chinese Great Wall group. With a length of 4.87 meters, width of 1.86 meters, height of 1.50 meters, and a wheelbase of 2.87 meters, it is a relatively large executive car, although its cargo space is very small relative to the category, with only 333 liters.
Unlike other Chinese companies that simply copy the design of the Model 3, the 07 chose to receive "inspiration" from Porsche, which stands out prominently on the front, rear, and dashboard.
Although abroad there is a dual-motor version with over 400 hp, in Israel, for now, a front-wheel-drive version will arrive with 204 hp and a choice between two batteries: 67 kWh with a range of 440 km and 87 kWh with a range of 570 km. Fast charging is possible but at a slow rate of only 85 kW, while Tesla is already at 250 kW and Hyundai Ioniq 6 is at 350 kW.
The performance is also more modest and similar to that of gasoline family cars: 8.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, top speed of 170 km/h.
The basic model PURE with the small battery priced at NIS 195,000 at launch (NIS 200,000 price list), comes with a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, Android Auto and Apple Carplay integration, digital dashboard divided into 3 "tubes" as in the Porsche, wireless mobile charging, panoramic roof, split climate control with rear vents, leather upholstery, electric front seats with heating, automatic parking system, 360-degree camera, remote control app, and more.
The Pro+ finish level with the large battery (NIS 220,000 launch price, NIS 225,000 price list) adds a head-up display, massage, heating and ventilation in the front seats, electric charging port door, Infinity sound system with 11 speakers, and an electric retractable spoiler.
Safety: The 07 has not yet been tested in the European crash test, but comes with a variety of standard active safety systems: autonomous emergency braking in forward and reverse driving, adaptive cruise control, off-road vehicle alert, lane keep assist, and alert for forgotten children in the car. The Pro+ finish level adds driver fatigue monitoring based on camera, adaptive cruise control that adjusts speed before turns, and active recognition of a child left in the car.
Warranty: 5 years with no mileage limit on the vehicle and 8 years on the battery or 160,000 kilometers.
