10 Ashkelon schools to boycott Home Front Drill

The Ashkelon parent's committee announced Tuesday that ten schools will not take part in Wednesday's Home Front drill because of a report that it would be dangerous to stay in the schools during a missile attack.
The Home Front Command established that the school buildings had faulty roofing.
Committee chairman Yaron Jibley said that the children do not need a drill to know how to hide underneath a desk, which is what they were forced to do during actual missile attacks in the past.
A petition from the parents and the city of Ashkelon against the State and the Defense Ministry is currently being reviewed in the Supreme Court.
