5 soldiers arrested for turning off monitors, going to bed

Military police arrested five female soldiers stationed along the border with Lebanon for allegedly turning off monitors used to observe Hezbollah and going to sleep, Channel 10 news reported Monday.
The Northern Command's Military Court filed an indictment against the soldiers while military police were investigating how long the screens remained off and what damage may have been incurred by the soldiers' actions.
According to the IDF spokesperson, there is a suspicion "that the female soldiers sabotaged the system in order to ease their guard duty," adding that no additional details could be provided presently as the case is being conducted behind "closed doors."
