A-G: Galia Ma'or cannot be Bank Leumi board candidate

Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein decided on Wednesday that Galia Ma'or could not be a candidate for the board of directors of Bank Leumi after having just completed 15 years as the bank's general-manager.
According to the law, wrote Weinstein, Ma'or must wait two years before she will be eligible for a position on the board. On Tuesday, the Movement for Quality Government petitioned the High Court of Justice to strike her name from the list of candidates.
A general meeting of Bank Leumi shareholders will choose the new members of the board next month.
