ADL praises Israel's decision to grant residency status to migrant children

The Anti-Defamation League on Thursday praised the Israeli government for granting residency status to 221 children of migrants.

"This decision by the Israeli government fulfills an important promise to these children of migrants residing in Israel," ADL chief Abe Foxman said in a statement. "The move ends the state of limbo for them and ensures that those young individuals - many of whom were born in Israel and do not know another home - now have the opportunity to build lives for themselves, and are secure in knowing they will not be sent out of Israel."
