An 86 year-old women died at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya on Saturday, according to Israeli media.
She was brought to the medical center from a retirement home in Nahariya four days ago after presenting advanced symptoms of the virus. In the past 24 hours her condition deteriorated and on Saturday afternoon doctors pronounced her death.
This is the second case of a confirmed coronavirus patient dying at the Galilee Medical Center, according to a press release by the medical center. The first case was the death of a 92 year-old patient from Deir al-Asad two months ago.
