Animal rights activists give slaughterhouse dubious honor

Anonymous for Animal Rights activists arrived to the Milouoff slaughterhouse, located just southeast of Acre, on Monday, disguised as Agriculture Ministry inspectors to facetiously grant the factory a "five-star rating" for its treatment of animals at the facility.
Just two weeks ago, Channel 2 aired the results of a three-month investigation conducted with the organization, which exposed a number of abuse and sanitation violations at both the Milouoff and Oaf Hagalil slaughterhouses.
On Monday, the activists presented the Milouoff workers with a certificate, awarding them "five stars for the quality of salmonella, for the pleasurable slaughter and for the slow death at the highest quality bleeding facilities that exist."
