Netanyahu lands in Berlin for state visit

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed in Berlin, the capital of Germany, for a diplomatic visit where he will meet with Chancellor Olaf Scholz – the first meeting of the two in their current position.

The two leaders are expected to discuss a variety of political and security issues – primarily the Iranian issue and developments in the regional arena. Netanyahu will also meet with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The visit will open with a memorial service for victims of the Holocaust.
