Israelis killed in terror attack near Mavkiim, terrorists caught - report

Israelis were reportedly killed late Sunday morning by terrorists who penetrated to an area around Route 4 and Mavkiim south of Ashkelon, near Gaza.

It was unclear if the terrorists had gotten into Israel in a vehicle right before the attack or whether they had penetrated on Saturday as part of the large invasion by hundreds of Hamas forces, hidden themselves, and waited for an opening to strike again.

The IDF did not confirm the number of dead, but did confirm that Israelis had been killed. The police announced that they had apprehended the terrorists shortly afterward.

Unconfirmed reports indicated the terrorists had driven around in a vehicle and fired on various civilians as they passed by, maneuvering all over the southern area near Netivot, Ashdod and other locations.

This is a developing story.
