Ashdod: Teacher collapses in front of students, dies

A 54-year-old teacher died in an Ashkelon hospital on Thursday, after collapsing in front of her students at the school where she taught in Ashdod.
According to witnesses, the woman said she felt unwell, excused herself from a Holocaust memorial ceremony for Remembrance Day for a number of minutes, and upon returning collapsed in front of her pupils, Israel Radio reported.
Some shocked students who volunteered for Magen David Adom made initial attempts at resuscitation until paramedics arrived at the school, attempting to save the woman's life. The rescue team rushed her to the Barzilai Medical Center the neighboring coastal city of Ashkelon, where doctors pronounced her dead.
