An attempted infiltration was reported along the border with Lebanon near Metula on Sunday evening, with a suspect attempting to jump the border fence before IDF soldiers arrived at the scene and he escaped back into Lebanon, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
IDF soldiers are searching the area.
The infiltrator was reportedly a Syrian national, but was arrested by Lebanese forces, according to Lebanon-based news outlet al-Manar.
