Aviva Schalit to PM: 'Gilad's life is your responsibility'

Aviva Schalit, mother of captured soldier Gilad Schalit, sent a public letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Wednesday to mark the 1600 day since her son was kidnapped.

In the letter, Schalit writes to the prime minister, "I do not know what else I can tell you to wake up."

"Gilad is now alive in Gaza. I do not know if tomorrow he will be alive. His life is your responsibility and only yours...please don't put it [the responsibility] on cabinet members and generals so that you can postpone it and distance yourself from it," she said.
