Ayalon: Close US-Israel cooperation in war on terror continuing

Eight years after the September 11 terror attacks in the US, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, who was Israel's ambassador in Washington at the time, said Friday that despite the change of administration, the close cooperation between Israel and the US was continuing. Speaking to Army Radio, Ayalon indicated that other terror attacks on the same scale could not be ruled out. "The cooperation between countries in the fight against terror is very close, closer than it ever was," Ayalon told Army Radio. "[But] the threats are still there...the knowledge and preparedness [to carry out terror attacks] are on the same level as they were during the previous administration."
