Bayit Yehudi won't hold primary in next election

The Bayit Yehudi's list for the next Knesset will be elected by its Central Committee, and not by primary, party Secretary-General Nir Orbach said Wednesday.
"In the last election, it was clear that there was a need for a primary in order to refresh our ranks," Orbach explained in an interview with settler magazine Besheva that will come out Friday.
However, Orbach added, now that the party quadrupled in size, it is a large party, which could open it to pressure groups that will try to get its own candidates into the Bayit Yehudi.
"We will hire professionals to evaluate the risks and benefits in a primary. Meanwhile, until we decide otherwise, the central committee will determine the list," he stated.
