Bennett spends night on Gaza border, calls residents 'heroes'

Education Minister Naftali Bennett spent Monday night on the Gaza border at Kibbutz Alumim, which sits just several kilometers from the Gaza border.

Bennett called the residents of the South both "heroes and strong."

"We must give the IDF an order to win, to uproot Hamas from its ability to hurt us," he said. "To bomb an empty building and then to have fun as if this is what is deterring Hamas - is nonsense and nonsense, it does not work."

Bennett added: I expect the prime minister to give the IDF an order to uproot Hamas from its capabilities and then to preserve it.
