Blasts kill 23, scores wounded in Iraq

BAGHDAD - Three bombs exploded near a busy market and a religious site in southwestern Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 23 people and wounding scores of others, hospital and security sources said.
The blasts occurred in quick succession in the al-Shurta al-Rabaa district of the Iraqi capital. One truck near Husseiniya, a place of worship for Shi'ite Muslims.
An Interior Ministry source said explosives were transported to the market in wooden carts usually used to carry merchandise.
