The bus driver suspected of causing the death of 18-year-old Ron Eliyahu Ovad from Kibutz Palmachim was sent on Sunday to a week-long house arrest.
Ovad was killed and five young men injured on Friday when the bus, empty of passengers, slammed into the tent they were staying in.
The accident happened in a paratrooper training base in the northern Negev. The young men were taking part in a pre-army exercise.
Initial investigation suggests the driver did not properly use the hand-brake and was outside the bus when the accident happened.
The incident happened near Shomria, a kibbutz in the Negev. Some of those injured were trapped under the bus.
