Court convicts policeman who bit a civilian

The Tel Aviv Magistrate Court convicted a police officer on Monday of biting a civilian.
Simon Shalom was on patrol with two other officers when they received a noise complaint from a party. He arrested Aviv, the brother of the woman who was throwing the party. After a brick smashed the back of the police car, Shalom slapped Aviv, strangled him and threatened him.
Aviv's cousin approached Shalom and asked him to stop what he was doing. While another policeman held Aviv's cousin's hands behind his back, Shalom grabbed on his neck and bit him in the lips forcefully, injuring him.
