Court: state must compensate murdered Palestinian's family

Jerusalem District Court Monday ordered the state to compensate the family of a Palestinian girl, Abir Aramin, who was killed during border patrol officer's gunfire in Januray 2007.
Aramin, who was aged 10 at the time of her death, was killed when a bullet hit her after she left her school in the village of Anata.
Even though eye witnesses claimed that the bullet was fired by a border policeman, the prosecutors decided to close the case without indicting any suspects.
