Egyptian FM calls Hariri, expresses support for Lebanese PM

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit Thursday spoke with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, expressing his support amid the collapse of Lebanon's government Hizbullah ministers and their allies resigned Wednesday, Lebanese paper an-Nahar reported.
A spokesperson for Aboul Gheit issued a statement saying that the Egyptian foreign minister commended Hariri's "constructive positions" towards "preventing Lebanon from being exposed to the dangers of further escalation," according to the report.
