Finance minister opposes increase in minimum wage

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz on Sunday expressed his opposition to a bill suggesting an increase in the minimum wage.
Steinitz warned that raising the minimum wage would mean that an additional five billion shekels would need to be added to the next annual budget.
During a Likud ministerial meeting Steinitz said that supporters of the bill need to take into account that this amount of money will reduce government ministry budgets.
