Former Netanyahu chief of staff questioned

Yechiel Leiter, who served as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's chief of staff from 2004 to 2005 when he was finance minister, was questioned by police for three days in an ongoing investigation of how various funds have helped Netanyahu and his family, Channel 10's Ayala Hasson reported Tuesday.
State Comptroller Joseph Shapiro wrote in May that Leiter used his personal credit card in July 2005 to pay $2,280, covering travel costs to Britain for Netanyahu and his two sons. In August 2015, Leiter confirmed in writing that he had used his credit card to pay for the flights, but had been reimbursed by Netanyahu. Leiter is a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
