French court reduces Gaydamak sentence in 'Angolagate'

The Paris appeals court on Friday reduced the jail term of Russian-Israeli businessman Arkadi Gaydamak from six to three years in the "Angolagate" incident in which top French political figures were implicated in arms sales to Angola.
Gaydamak did not attend the trial.
Former French interior minister Charles Pasqua had his corruption conviction in the scandal overturned by the court.
