Gantz: Gov't was aware of Schalit deal security challenges

IDF Chief of General-Staff Benny Gantz addressed the decision to reach a prisoner exchange deal that freed Gilad Schalit, speaking at the graduation ceremony for the IDF's officers' course at the Negev Bahad 1 training base Wednesday.
The government, he said, "in weighing the recommendations of security officials, was aware of the price and possible security challenges" posed by the deal.
