German FM to meet Peres, Lieberman, and Erakat in J'lem

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle was set to meet with President Shimon Peres, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, and Palestinian chief negotiator Saed Erakat in Jerusalem on Sunday during a two-day visit to Israel, according to a press release by the German Embassy in Tel Aviv.
The purpose of the meetings will be the Middle East peace process and the "close relations" between Germany and Israel, stated the press release.
"The German government@@@s position is that there is no alternative to the two-state solution. Therefore, the German foreign minister will promote confidence-building measures and the continuation of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians," said the press release.
Westerwelle was also expected to meet with the Schalit family, and scheduled to tour Gaza and Sderot during his visit.
