Hadassah staffers to receive back pay

The Hadassah Medical Organization has found the money to pay the second half of salaries that it was unable to pay its workers at the beginning of the month.
HMO director-general Avigdor Kaplan said the staff of the two medical centers in Jerusalem will receive the unpaid part of their salaries on Wednesday. Kaplan had told Hadassah staffers last month that he could pay only 50 percent of salaries.
HMO has a NIS 300 million ongoing deficit and a long-term deficit of more than NIS 1 billion.
