'Hamas cell planned terror attacks at synagogue, bus station in Israel'

Israeli security authorities have uncovered a Hamas cell from the Hebron area that planned to carry out terror attacks in the West Bank and within Israel, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced Monday after the details of the case were cleared for publication.
The cell, which received instructions from Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip through Facebook, planned shooting attacks, the planting of explosive devices and kidnappings in the Hebron area.
In addition, the cell gathered intel on a number of sites for potential attacks within Israel, including a military base near Kfar Kara, the Binyamina Central Bus Station and a synagogue in Zichron Yaakov. The members of the cell were familiar with the locations from their time working in Israeli illegally, the Shin Bet stated.
The Shin Bet, together with the IDF and Israel Police succeeded in arresting the members of the cell, a number of whom were indicted on various charges on Monday at the Haifa District Court.
