Heirs of Holocaust victim receive 12 m. from restitution company

Heirs of a woman who was killed during the Holocaust received 12 million NIS from the Holocaust Restitution Company of Israel for land in Bat Yam that the she purchased before the outbreak of WWII, Israel Radio reported.
This was the largest amount of money that the restitution company has returned to heirs of Holocaust victims.
The murdered woman, a citizen of Poland purchased the land with the help of her brother who lived in Israel. Today, a public building stands on the land.
The compensation will be divided among thirteen of the woman's heirs. Four of the heirs, who are overseas residents, did not know anything about the land in question.
