High Court upholds lockdown of Bnei Brak as legal

The High Court of Justice late Tuesday night rejected a petition by four lawyers in Bnei Brak to nullify the lockdown on the city which the government declared due to the coronavirus crisis.
The court expressed sympathy to Bnei Brak residents and criticized aspects of the state's communications with the municipality, but said that the dire nature of the virus meant that the extreme decision of a lockdown was legally defensible.
