IDF, police increase presence in northern borders, J'lem

The IDF on Friday morning amassed forces near the border with Syria and Lebanon over concern of renewed demonstrations there related to Nakba Day, which was marked at the beginning of the week.
The move comes after tens of thousands of Arab activists responded to calls on social networks to gather at the Israeli border.
Police officers were also standing guard to prevent Israeli Arab protesters from approaching the border.
Meanwhile, the Jerusalem District Police also increased its forces in east Jerusalem and the Old City ahead of Friday prayers at the Temple Mount.
Police decided not to limit the number of those entering the compound, Army Radio reported.
