IDF shrink takes over mental health

Col. Dr. Gad Lubin, a psychiatrist who until now was head of the army’s mental health service, has been named director of the Health Ministry’s psychiatric services. His appointment took effect on Sunday, the ministry announced. Lubin has conducted a number of psychiatric studies, including on the effects of the season of birth on autism and the effects of short-term therapy on post-traumatic stress syndrome.
