IDF urges soldiers to improve online appearance

The IDF has launched a new Internet video urging soldiers to improve their online appearances. This following a spate of social networking videos posted by female soldiers containing immodest images of themselves that caused embarrassment to the military.

The new online campaign by the IDF shows a smartphone against the background of soldiers in various situations, as a narrator says, “Soldiers, always remember you are the face of the IDF. So approve your appearance on the net.”

The narrator invites soldiers share their tweets, text messages and photos with the IDF’s official Internet sites.

The film is set to be broadcast in IDF bases around the country, and to be sent to new recruits.

The IDF maintains a Facebook page alongside a host of Twitter accounts. It also has a YouTube channel.
