'IMA busy sending letters instead of solving real problems'

The Finance Ministry on Sunday said the Israel Medical Association (IMA) is busy sending letters instead of discussing with ministry representatives a solution to problems in the health system, according to an official statement.
The comments come after the filed a complaint on Sunday with the State Commissioner against Ilan Levin, the Finance Ministry's head of wages, for incitement following a radio interview in which he called doctors "murderers."
In the statement, the ministry said: "The IMA continues not to speak the truth. Rather than sit and discuss with the finance team solutions to the real problems of the health system, they are occupied with sending letters."
"This is another attempt to throw sand in the public eye in order to divert the discussion from its main point," the statement said. "It is clear that the Finance Ministry aims to end the doctors' strike and that only the wellbeing of the public is on the mind of the ministry. This is in contrast to the IMA, which consciously chooses to harm the Israeli public."
