Israeli tourists released from Jordan after delay

A group of Israeli tourists who were stuck in Jordan returned to Israel on Thursday evening after Jordanian authorities completed an inquiry into the death of the group’s local police escort.
The security officer disappeared at one of the waterfalls that the group was visiting. Jordanian security sources said that the body was found Thursday morning.
The tourists were supposed to cross the Hussein Bridge back into Israel on Thursday afternoon but were prevented from doing so because they did not have a police escort.
The Jordanian authorities stressed that the Israelis were not suspects in the incident.
