Jerusalem court releases Rabbi Shapira

TheJerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Thursday released RabbiYitzhak Shapira from custody two days after the Od Yosef ChaiYeshiva head was arrested in connection with the investigation into the attack on a mosque in the .

Thejurist cited a lack of evidence to prove that the rabbi knew the identities ofthe people responsible for the December 11 attack in the West Bank village near thesettlement of Yitzhar.

Thestate will have the possibility to file an appeal over the rabbi’s release tothe Supreme Court.
