J'lem councilman wants honorary citizenship for Pollard

Jerusalem city councilman Yair Gabai, who ran unsuccessfully for Knesset with Likud, wrote mayor Nir Barkat Tuesday asking him to grant honorary Jerusalem citizenship to Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard.
"I hope this initiative to give honorary Jerusalem citizenship to Pollard during Hanukkah will give a little light to Pollard, who has been in jail in the US for more than 27 years," Gabai said.
Pollard has already been given Israeli citizenship.
