Journalist in Belarus receives death threats

MINSK, Belarus  — An opposition journalist in Belarus said on Monday that she received death threats after accusing authorities of possibly killing her colleague.
Oleg Bebenin, the founder and chief editor of the Charter97 opposition website, was found dead Friday. Authorities said he committed suicide.
Svetlana Kalinkina, editor of the Narodnaya Volya opposition newspaper, said that she received an e-mail with death threats after she alleged Bebenin might have been killed.
