Kahlon on housing appointment: Our goal is to succeed

Following Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's announcement that Likud MK Moshe Kahlon would take over as director of the Israel Lands Authority, Kahlon said he understood criticism of the move, but "our goal is to succeed."
Labor, The Tzipi Livni Party and Shas all slammed the move as a "gimmick" and a form of election propaganda.
"Netanyahu has been talking about lowering housing costs for years," Kahlon told Army Radio on Monday morning. "The efforts to lower the prices were stuck because of sectarian parties. The timing is never good in Israel."
