Lapid: The actions in the north are justified

Chairman of the Yesh Atid party Yair Lapid released a message on Tuesday stating that "the actions in the north are justified," referring to the uncovering of Hezbollah tunnels from Lebanon into Israel.

"However," he continued, "there is no justification for the abandonment of the residents in the south."

"It's better for Hezbollah not to try us," Lapid said. "With that, the security situation is not any more complicated than it was a year ago, or two, or three, and there is no justification for the abandonment of the residents of the south facing Hamas."
