Lebanese paper: IDF to withdraw from northern part of Ghajar by Jan. 15

IDF to withdraw from no

The IDF will withdraw from the northern section of Ghajar by January 15, Israel Radio quoted an Lebanese newspaper as saying on Thursday morning. Israeli sources, however, stated that Jerusalem had not yet set a date for such a withdrawal. The Golan village of Ghajar, conquered from Syria in 1967 and determined following UN demarcation efforts to be both Israeli and Lebanese territory, is often cited as an obstacle to peace and stability on the northern front.
