Livni: Palestinian UN bid will not end conflict

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni told British Foreign Minister William Hague Thursday that, "A Palestinian state will not be established in the UN and their efforts in the UN will not end the conflict." She urged the Palestinians to "return to the negotiating table as soon as possible to create an arrangement that will ensure Israel's security."
The Kadima leader called her first trip to the UK since the repeal of a jurisdiction law, which threatened Israeli officials with arrest for war crimes, a "test case." She also thanked Britain for its help fighting Iran's nuclear program.
