Main runway at Ben Gurion airport closes due to improper construction

The Airports Authority decided to close the main runway at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport due to the construction of cranes at a prohibited height in Or Yehuda. The decision is considered unusual, according to Ynet
Apparently, the contractor in charge of the site provided incorrect information regarding the height and location of the cranes, which constitute a construction offense and a serious safety hazard, Ynet reported. The airlines have been notified about the decision to close the main runway.
