Major PLO faction rejects return to peace talks

A major faction of the Palestinian Liberation Organization rejected the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations on Monday hours before their scheduled renewal in Washington, AFP reported.
According to the report, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas had taken a unilateral move in returning to talks, which did not have unanimous support from the entirety of the PLO.
"These talks will be presided over by the United States, just like Oslo 20 years ago,"  AFP quoted one PFLP leader Khaleda Jarar as saying.
"We went to the UN precisely to take our case out of US hands," she added.
