Man seriously hurt in southern Nahariya shooting

A 22-year-old man was seriously wounded after a car he was traveling in with a friend was fired on by an unidentified gunman in southern Nahariya on Sunday.
Several shots were fired at the vehicle, police said, wounding the man, who is familiar to police due to past criminal activities. The vehicle then smashed into a brick wall. The second occupant of the vehicle escaped unhurt.
Magen David Adom paramedics rushed the wounded man to the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya.
Large numbers of police converged on the crime scene after the shooting and began gathering forensic evidence.
Police suspect the gunman was riding on a motorcycle when the shots were fired.
