Meeting between Peres, Czech president downsized due to Rabbi Yosef's passing

The State Dinner which President Shimon Peres hosted on Monday night in honor of Czech President MIilos Zamen was diminished in nature and in size due to the passing of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
Peres thought it inappropriate to hold a festive event on a day in which the nation had lost one of its giant figures in addition to which many of the invitees were unable to get to Jerusalem because so many of the roads were blocked.
The dinner became a working dinner with far fewer participants than originally scheduled.
